Betis hope to bring Granero home.
Real Betis are the latest club to be linked with the upcoming harvest of QPR stars with Esteban Granero reportedly on their shopping list, according to talkSPORT.
The 25-year-old former Real Madrid ace recently stated that he could be open to the possibility of staying at the West London club as well as being linked with a switch to Fiorentina, but the Spanish side are hoping that the prospect of a return home will prove to great to resist.
Granero is still very highly regarded amongst the decision makers in La Liga and Betis chief Pepe Mel is one of his biggest admirers and hopes to persuade the former under-21 international to join him in Andalusia.
“It is an interesting [prospect] and I would not say no. It is public knowledge that I have a good relationship with him,” Pel told Spanish newspaper Marca.
However, Pel refuted claims that if they were to bring Granero in it would spell the end of Benat’s time at the club as he continues to be linked with a move to Arsenal.
“Does it mean he will replace Benat? Why will they not play together [instead]?” he said.
