Anfield side set sights on Lille youngster.
Liverpool are reportedly in talks with Lille over a deal to sign £8m rated left-back Lucas Digne according to the Sunday People.
It’s a move that is sure to worry Spaniard Jose Enrique who has had an up and down season this term.
19 year old Digne is considered one of the hottest prospects in European football and Lille may be forced into considering good offers for the youngster.
Brendan Rodgers is keen to continue his youthful transfer policy and has earmarked an early summer move for the teenager.
Lille may well be even more compelled to listen to offers for Digne if they fail to secure a Champions League berth with the Stade Gerland side currently sitting three points off a crucial top three spot having played a game more than rivals for the spot Lyon.
Digne has belied his years this term, playing a pivotal role in Rudi Garcia’s starting eleven, making 36 starts in all competitions thus far this season.
Rodgers may well be keen to bring in a number of defensive additions this summer given that Jamie Carragher is to retire and Slovakian Martin Skrtel continues to be snubbed by the Liverpool boss.
