Scott Parker could move down to the Championship this summer.

Tottenham midfielder Scott Parker is a summer transfer target for Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp, according to the Daily Mirror.

The pair worked together at White Hart Lane last year, when Redknapp signed Parker from West Ham. However, Redknapp was sacked by Spurs at the end of the season and Parker has not had such a good campaign this time round.

The 32-year-old has struggled with injuries and made fewer appearances under new manager Andre Villas-Boas, and it is understood that the former England captain is one player the Portuguese coach would be willing to sell this summer.

Redknapp would love to be reunited with his former player, as he looks to improve his squad for next season, when they will hope to fight for promotion back to the Premier League.

QPR had a poor season this year, unable to prevent relegation to the Championship despite club owner Tony Fernandes spending large amounts of money on some big-name players.

They will be sure to lose some of their big names this summer, but their transfer policy looks set to continue along similar lines if they can secure the signing of Parker, though it remains to be seen if this Premier League-quality player is willing to make the step down to the Championship.
