Bayern ace plays down transfer talk.

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has played down links between himself and Manchester City, according to Sky Sports.

The 29-year-old is said to be on the chopping block with the German champions after failing to nail down a regular first team spot this season and word on the street is that incoming boss Pep Guardiola will look to move him on as soon as possible this summer.

Reports yesterday suggested that the former Chelsea wide-man could be on his way back to England with Manchester City, though the Dutch international has insisted that he has not heard of those rumours and hopes to pledge his future to the Bundesliga side by seeing out the remainder of his contract.

“I am not dealing with this speculation,” Robben said.

“There is so much speculation but I only want to deal with football. I still have two years on my deal so why should I leave?”

“It is all about performance on the pitch and in the past games I have shown I can contribute here at Bayern. I am only focused on Bayern. We want to win the title on May 25 and that is the only thing that counts.”

Robben has also been linked with a move to big spending Turkish side Galatasaray.
