Liverpool target Tom Ince is to be offered a new deal by current club Blackpool, according to ESPN.

The 21-year-old winger, son of former England captain Paul Ince, has really caught the eye in the Championship this season with 18 goals, which has seen him linked with a return to his old club Liverpool, where he started as a youngster.

The Reds are regretting letting him leave after his fine displays, and are interested in competing with Tottenham to bring the young English talent back to the Premier League this summer, after Blackpool missed out on a playoff place.

Ince may feel he is happy to continue developing under the management of his father Paul, but the club are keen to tie him down to a new deal in case he is tempted by the offer of a big move.

Speaking to the Blackpool Gazette, manager Ince said: “We all know the situation with Matty and Thomas.

“We have options on them but 12 months is not a long time, so we have offered them new deals. 12 months isn’t long enough, and by January they will have clubs everywhere trying to speak to them. Those two are high on our list to look at.”

Ince is one of a few big talents currently outside of the top flight, and could follow Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha up to the Premier League this summer.
