Reds to swap goalkeeper for young forward.
Liverpool and Barcelona could do a swap deal this summer, with Cristian Tello moving to the Premier League as Pepe Reina moves to the Nou Camp.
The Daily Mirror understands that Barcelona are keen to sign Reina for around £10million as a replacement for Victor Valdes, who has confirmed his desire to leave the club this summer for a new challenge.
Valdes himself has been linked with Liverpool among other clubs, but it seems that Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is more keen to land 21-year-old forward Tello in return for his goalkeeper.
Tello is highly-rated at the Nou Camp, though he has struggled to break into the first team due to the quality of competition ahead of him. He reportedly has a minimum release fee clause of just £8.5million and would welcome a chance to get more regular football to progress in his career.
Liverpool have been linked with him several times as they look to bolster their strike force this summer, and Arsenal and Tottenham have also been showing an interest in the Spaniard.
However, with Liverpool also content to let Reina go, they could use their goalkeeper as a useful bargaining tool to beat other clubs to Tello.
