Barcelona forward Pedro is hoping to stay with the club and increase his contribution toward any future success they may have, according to Sky Sports.

The 25-year-old has scored five goals in 25 La Liga matches this term, and seven in 40 across all competitions, as Barca regained the league title but were annihilated in the Champions League semi-final by Bayern Munich.

And the La Masia graduate has admitted that his future with the club is uncertain as the summer transfer links with Brazilian ace Neymar refuse to go away.

“I wish I could contribute more, but I’m happy with the opportunities I’ve had and want to keep improving,” he told Spanish newspaper Marca.

“I try to work and help my team-mates. This year I may have contributed less and I hope the next season is better.”

“There are always changes and many players have left, but my clear intention is to stay here. I have to wait to see if the club decides to sell me, but I am calm.”

“(Neymar) is a great player and the club want the best in the world. His arrival would be a great joy because we would be very strong.”

“It would mean more competition in attack but it suits me well personally because I’m still learning. Hopefully he can come.”
