Tottenham’s on-loan winger Andros Townsend is to hold talks with the club over his future, according to the London Evening Standard.

The talented 21-year-old has spent the second half of this season on loan at Queens Park Rangers, and has impressed for the club despite their relegation to the Championship.

The England Under-21 international wants to return to White Hart Lane next season, but only if he can be assured of more regular first team football under manager Andre Villas-Boas.

Swansea City are said to be monitoring his situation, but as a Spurs fan who came up through the club’s ranks, he is said to favour a stay at his parent club.

It is not yet clear if Spurs will find a place for him, though with Gareth Bale’s recent switch to a more central role, there could be a gap to fill on the club’s left flank. Bale could also be sold to Real Madrid in the summer, which would see a number of changes take place at the club, as they would likely have a great deal of money to spend from the Welshman’s sale.

However, they have already been looking at other options on the wings, and have been linked with highly rated Blackpool wide man Tom Ince.
