Anfield move is one the Danish international is keen to secure.
Ajax playmaker Christian Eriksen has given Liverpool a month to make their apparent interest known to his employers according to the Sunday Mirror.
The 21 year old has demanded Brendan Rodgers puts in an actual offer for his services, with a £15m price-tag apparently placed on the Danish international.
Eriksen will apparently give the Merseyside club a matter of weeks to make such an offer otherwise he will either sign a new Ajax contract or look to secure a move elsewhere, though seemingly the talented midfielder does hope to make a move to Liverpool ahead of any other prospective suitors.
This source quotes an Eriksen insider as stating: “One minute there was a concrete interest and Liverpool were willing to pay the fee, but now they are taking their time.”
Eriksen is considered one of the hottest prospects in European football and after guiding Ajax to a third Eredivisie title in a row the youngster appears to be hankering for a move away from the club.
Rodgers may see Eriksen as a long term replacement for Steven Gerrard and clearly such a signing would fit the club’s youthful transfer policy.
Christian Eriksen has already amassed over 150 appearances for Ajax and has 34 national team caps to his name.
