Newly-promoted Crystal Palace have made Tottenham midfielder Jake Livermore a prime target for the club this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 23-year-old is highly rated at White Hart Lane, but has endured a difficult time breaking into the first team at the club, finding himself loaned out by Spurs to six different clubs already in his career.

Livermore, who has one cap for England, has spent time on loan at MK Dons, Crewe, Derby County, Peterborough United, Ipswich and Leeds, and could finally be set for a permanent exit from the North Londoners this summer.

Palace boss Ian Holloway is keen to strengthen his squad after winning promotion via the playoffs, as he is prepared for a tough season of fighting relegation ahead. The former Blackpool manager has also identified Barcelona youngster Marco Bartra as a possible option on loan.

The Eagles’ task will be made even harder with the loss of Wilfried Zaha, who will complete his move to Manchester United next season, despite the possibility being raised of the 20-year-old forward returning to Selhurst Park for one more season on loan.

Tottenham, meanwhile, will be likely to let Livermore leave as they look to strengthen in their midfield to finally claim a Champions League spot next season.
