The knives have already been drawn for Jose Mourinho as he embarks on his new career at Chelsea according to The Sun.

Less than 24 hours after his appointment as the new boss of the Stamford Bridge, he has already been predicted to be a flop but none other that former Holland and Barcelona star Johan Cruyff.

The 66 year old has reportedly claimed that Mourinho is a ‘negative force’ who paralysed the abilities of the Real Madrid squad, despite the Portuguese boss leading the club to a La Liga and Copa del Rey title.

Cruyff has claimed that Mourinho is incapable of taking responsibility for his failures and always seeks to blame someone else. The former Barcelona boss questioned the wisdom of dropping club captain Iker Casillas from the Madrid starting eleven, in a move that reportedly disillusioned much of the Madrid dressing room.

Those comments will not deter Chelsea fans. Mourinho was their overwhelming favourite to take over from interim boss Rafa Benitez. The club’s players have also expressed their excitement at the Special One’s return with the likes of Petr Cech, Ashley Cole, John Terry and Frank Lampard having all played under Mourinho during his first spell at the club.
