Phil Neville Set To Join David Moyes’s Man United Backroom Staff

David Moyes looks set to add Phil Neville to his new backroom team at Manchester United.

Phil Neville looks set to return to Manchester United this summer as part of David Moyes backroom staff at Old Trafford according to the Independent.

Neville came through United’s famed youth academy with players such as his brother, Gary, and recently retired David Beckham.

He then moved to Everton in 2005 where he spent 8 years working under David Moyes.

It now appears that the former England International will follow Moyes to Old Trafford.

Phil Neville has been seen by many as a future manager as has no end of job offers so far this summer.

He has been linked to managerial jobs at Brighton and Hove Albion as well as the role vacated by Moyes at Everton.

Both Neville brothers will now be in some form of football management, with brother Gary Neville part of England’s backroom staff.

Phil Neville will also spent the summer working under Stuart Pearce with the England Under-21s at the European Championship in Israel.

Phil will also be joined at Old Trafford by coach Jimmy Lumsden and goalkeeping coach Chris Woods.

David Moyes will take charge on of Manchester United for the first time competitively in the Community Shield on 11th August against FA Cup winners Everton.
