The agent of Esteban Granero has confirmed his client is likely to find a new employer this summer according to Goal.com.

Granero signed a four year deal with QPR last summer but looks certain to leave after just one year at the club following their relegation from the Premier League.

QPR spent significant sums of cash on a number of players last summer as they looked to establish themselves in England’s top division.

But the players failed to gel and the club now find themselves in the second tier with an expensively assembled squad.

QPR are keen to recoup as much of their money as possible whilst attempting to return to the Premier League at the first attempt.

It now appears that former Spain under-21 international, Granero, will be one of the players shown the door as the club look to balance their books.

The move suits both club and player with Granero also thought to favour a move away from West London rather than plying his trade in the physically demanding Championship.

A number of La Liga sides are thought to be ready to offer Granero a QPR escape route whilst Premier League side Arsenal have also been linked with his signature.
