Chelsea are set to make a mega bucks bid for Zenit’s Hulk according to The Mirror.

Jose Mourinho joined the club at the beginning of the week and has already begun drawing up a list of potential summer targets.

He has reportedly identified up front as a priority area for reinforcement and is ready to make a move for Hulk in order to bolster his front line.

Hulk is known to be seeking a move away from Zenit after enduring a tumultuous year at the club since arriving from Porto for over fifty-million pounds last summer.

His signing immediately caused fractures in the Zenit dressing room with some of the club’s more established stars demanding they receive the same wage package as the striker.

Hulk also fell out with the club’s manager and fans and stated his intention to leave the club during the previous January transfer window.

Zenit are thought to be ready to cut their losses and would consider selling Hulk to Chelsea provided they can recoup at least thirty-two million of the fee they spent last summer.

Hulk’s arrival could spell the end of Fernando Torres’ Chelsea career. It is widely expected that Demba Ba and Romelu Lukaku will be kept on at the club so should Mourinho bring in another striker, it could be an indication that Torres is no longer wanted at Stamford Bridge.
