Chelsea striker Fernando Torres is set to meet returning manager Jose Mourinho this summer to discuss his future, The Express reports.

Mourinho is reportedly keen to meet with a number of the club’s stars when they return from international duty and the holiday break, including David Luiz and John Terry to discuss their futures and Torres is high on the priority list as Barcelona and Napoli are said to be battling it out for his signature.

Torres is currently away with the Spanish national side after being recalled for their Confederations Cup campaign, which is also expected to Feature Luiz.

And apparently Mourinho is weighing up whether to let the Spaniard go in a player plus cash deal for Napoli striker Edinson Cavani. The Uruguayan has been heavily linked with a move away from the San Paolo this summer and the Portuguese boss is now expected to throw his hat into the ring.

Mourinho is also looking into the possibility of Fiorentina’s Stevan Jovetic and Borussia Dortmund’s Robert Lewandowski as potential replacements but figures he has a better chance of landing Cavani.

Rafa Benitez is a known fan of Torres having brought him to Liverpool in 2007 and managed to get the 29-year-old firing again last season but that is not thought to be enough to keep him at the west London club.
