Check in to Transfer Window: Done Deal Alerts

Manchester United winger Nani is set to make a decision about his Old Trafford future in the coming days according to The Daily Star.

The Portuguese winger found himself with a diminished role in the United team last season after former manager Sir Alex Ferguson grew increasingly frustrated at the player’s inconsistent performances.

That prompted Ferguson to adopt a more narrow midfield formation that saw Nani’s involvement largely limited to the bench.

The Portuguese star is about to enter the final year of his contract at Old Trafford and, despite his diminished role in the United first team, has reportedly requested a wage deal thought to be in the region of £90,000 a week.

United have refused to meet those demands and that could well see the player leave the club this summer as United look to cash in now rather than risk losing him for nothing.

Galatasaray are reported to have had a £6 million bid turned down last week with United looking for a higher transfer fee.

The player has no shortage of suitors though with the likes of PSG, Juventus and his former club Sporting Lisbon all thought to be interested in offering Nani an Old Trafford escape route.
