Phil Neville and Steve Round are set to become part of David Moyes backroom staff at Manchester United according to Goal.com.

The pair will be joined by 4 other members of Moyes backroom staff from Everton, vastly altering the coaching staff at Manchester United.

Mike Phelan, assistant manager under Sir Alex Ferguson, left the club earlier this month along with goalkeeping coach Eric Steele.

Dutch coach Rene Meulensteen, a highly rated member of United’s backroom staff, will also leave the club this summer.

Both Meulensteen and Phelan are being linked with the vacant managers job at Wigan.

Meulsteen’s role as first team coach will be taken by Everton first team coach Jimmy Lumsden, with Everton goalkeeping coach Chris Woods taking over from Eric Steele.

Steve Round will follow them to Old Trafford and is set to take up a senior coaching position at Manchester United.

Phil Neville will have a place on United’s coaching staff, with Moyes seeing him as the perfect connection to United’s old guard.

Neville announced his retirement from football last week and has been heavily linked with a number of coaching roles.

It now looks as though he will be making his way back to Old Trafford, the club where he won six Premier League titles.
