Manchester City midfielder Abdisalem Ibrahim is hoping to play regular Premier League football following interest from several other clubs, Sky Sports reports.

The 22-year-old has spent the season on loan with Stronsgodset in his native country of Norway and is returning to his final year of his contract with City. A number of clubs including Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton, Fulham and Swansea are all said to be interested in making a move after he has made a limited impact with the former champions.

Ibrahim has made two appearances for City after his debut in a fourth round FA Cup tie in 2010 at Scunthorpe, where he spent two months on loan the following year and that was followed by a short stint with Eredivise side NEC Nijmegen before heading back to Norway.

And he is more than aware of the interest in him as he hopes to feature in the English top flight on a more regular basis.

“At the moment I’m focusing on the tournament but from what I know from my advisors, there is interest from Premier League clubs,” Ibrahim said.

“I will know my future once I get back with Man City after my loan finishes 30th of June. But I would love to play in the Premier League next season, week in week out as it is the best league in the world.”
