PSG midfielder Marco Verratti has demanded a pay rise from the club amidst interest from Manchester United and Real Madrid, talkSPORT understands.

The 20-year-old has been an instant hit at the Parc Des Princes since joining from Pescara last summer and his performances for Italy at the under-21 European Championships have intensified the interest in him from top club’s around the continent.

And the player’s agent, Donato Di Campli, has admitted that he and his client are aware of the interest and will be negotiating a fresh deal to keep him at with the Parisian giants once he returns from International duty.

“I’ll talk to the directors in Paris next week to discuss his future,” Di Campli told Sport Mediaset. “We’ll also discuss a pay rise.

“Verratti is tied to the outfit for another four seasons, but he is no longer the player who arrived from Pescara.

“His value is now different and we’ll also evaluate these aspects.

“Real Madrid? I read a lot of stories in the newspapers and it is pleasing to know that Marco is being followed by great clubs such as Real.”

Verratti made 39 appearances across all competitions last season but failed to find the net.
