Sevilla defender en route to Villa Park.
Aston Villa are close to landing Sevilla full back Antonio Luna after the two clubs agreed a fee for the player, Sky Sports reports.
According to reports in Spain the 22-year-old is due to fly into Birmingham this week for further talks and a medical as Paul Lambert attempts to press ahead with his squad overhaul by signing yet another little known young player.
Luna spent last season on loan with Real Mallorca alongside fellow Villa full back Alan Hutton, but neither of the players could help prevent the club’s slide into the Segunda division. Hutton has since returned to the West Midlands and Luna now looks as though he could follow suit.
Lambert will be looking to add more defensive options to his side with Eric Lichaj leaving the club last week and Irish left back Enda Stevens also being told that he can find a new club.
Should Luna sign this week he will become Villa’s fourth signing of an already busy summer transfer window, with Lambert having already snapped up Jores Okore, Aleksandar Tonev and Leandro Bacuna this month.
Villa are also in talks with big Danish forward Nicklas Helenius and could wrap that deal up this week too.
