Andre Ayew has said that he would like the opportunity to play in the Premier League and has hinted that Liverpool could be of particular interest according to Goal.com.

The striker has long been linked with a move to the Premier League and has strongly suggested that if an offer came in from a club playing in England, he would accept it.

“I am Ghanaian and an English speaker, and the English league is the one most watched in Ghana. I have a strong preference for England. I am not seeking to leave but, if interested clubs have the number of president Labrune…” said Ayew in a interview.

The striker scored 9 league goals for Marseille last season, helping the club finish as runner-up to runaway leaders Paris St Germain.

Ayew also suggested that Liverpool have a special place in his heart, having followed them since he was a child.

The striker could be a target for Liverpool this summer as the club are short of striking options.

Daniel Sturridge will probably miss the start of the season due to injury and Luis Suarez continues to be linked with a move away from the club, with Real Madrid ready to offer Liverpool £40 million.

However, the club are set to sign Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas for £7 million, easing Brendan Rodgers problems up front.
