Fernando Torres has said that he will speak to his new manager Jose Mourinho before making a decision about his future at the club according to Goal.com.

The Spanish striker has been linked with a move away from Chelsea, with Barcelona thought to be ready to bid £19 million for him.

Further doubts were raised over Torres future when Mourinho said the striker was so-so and could have been more successful for Chelsea.

Reports suggest that Chelsea have already tried to get rid of Torres, by putting him in a deal for Edinson Cavani that would have seen him move to Napoli.

The bid was rejected by the Italian club and although rumours persist about his future, the striker remains fully focused on playing for Spain at the Confederations Cup.

“I look forward to talking with Mourinho and knowing what he plans for me,” said Torres during an interview.

Torres did say that he enjoys a good relationship with Barcelona president Sandro Rosell and that could help a move go through for the striker if he is not needed at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are desperate to re-enforce their striking options this summer, and are set to battle it out with Real Madrid and Manchester City for the signature of Edinson Cavani.
