Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is ready to turn down interest from PSG in his services and push on ahead in pursuit of a trio of talented attackers according to the Daily Mirror.

Emmanuel Adebayor, who had a poor season at the White Hart Lane side last term, is closing on a move to Fenerbahce, a move that Villas-Boas hopes to generate £10m from, which he will then pump into a push to bring in some much needed attacking reinforcements.

Experienced Barcelona striker David Villa heads Tottenham’s summer wish-list and the 31 year old seems more likely than ever to leave the Nou Camp this summer following the arrival of Neymar.

The former Valencia man was already behind Alexis Sanchez in the pecking order for a spot supporting Lionel Messi in Tito Vilanova’s strike-force and though Arsenal were said to be interested in the Spaniard it appears Arsene Wenger has switched his attention to Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Higuain.

Villas-Boas wants to bring in all his summer signings ahead of Tottenham’s pre-season training that starts early next month and is in the advanced stages of talks to bring in long term target Leandro Damiao.

The North London side have been chasing the Internacional man for the best part of 18 months but are still pushing ahead with moves to capture the £20m rated Brazilian.

Andre Villas-Boas is said to be closing in on another Brazilian, attacking midfielder Paulinho, who is due to fly in to London for contract talks with the Premier League side.

Tottenham could well do with strong attacking additions having relied far too heavily on Welsh winger Gareth Bale last term. Moves to sign top quality players this summer could also help to prevent the 23 year old from having his head turned by an ever growing interest in his services from Real Madrid and others.

Moves to bring in additional strikers are perhaps all the more relevant given the alarming goal drought that Jermain Defoe suffered in the second half of 2012/13 when the England man managed just one goal in his last 15 Premier League appearances.
