After struggling against relegation in 2012/13, the new season could get off to a difficult start for Aston Villa, as they face away trips to Arsenal and Chelsea and a home game with Liverpool in their opening three fixtures.
They will then hope to pick up some crucial points from sides who are also likely to be in the bottom half of the table, with Newcastle visiting Villa Park and then a trip to Norwich, before another difficult game with Manchester City.
Things could ease up during the Christmas period, with games against the likes of Stoke, Crystal Palace, Swansea and Sunderland, and they have a relatively comfortable-looking run-in against the likes of Fulham, Southampton and Hull, though they face a tricky trip to Tottenham at White Hart Lane on the final day of the season.
Their first derby match with West Brom will come at the Hawthorns on the 23rd of November, with the return fixture at Villa Park on the 28th of January.
