Lorient striker Jeremie Aliadiere is reportedly keen on a return to England this summer with up to five clubs interested in bringing him back to England, talkSPORT reports.

French newspaper L’Equipe believes that Everton, Swansea, West Ham, Sunderland and Southampton are all lining up to take the him off of Lorient’s hands after bagging 15 goals in Ligue 1 last season.

However, they will all face a difficult challenge with French giants Lyon and Marseille both interested and according to reports in France have scouted him on a number of occasions. It is thought, though, that the 30-year-old will want to have another crack at the English top flight before he gets too old to give it his best.

Aliadiere didn’t enjoy the best of times during his spell in England, managing to score just nine goals in eight years with the north London club.

He spent time away from the Gunners with a series of unsuccessful loan spells with Celtic, West Ham and Wolves before sealing a permanent switch to Middlesbrough in 2007, where he could still only manage to notch 12 goals in three years.

But he has impressed since returning to France in 2011 and he could be on the move again – with English clubs reportedly circling.
