Jupp Heynckes, the mastermind behind Bayern Munich’s treble winning season has said that the club should try and sign highly rated Spanish player-maker Isco according to Goal.com.

Isco has been the subject of interest from a number of top clubs throughout Europe, with Real Madrid and Manchester City said to be front-runners.

The player recently stated that he had received offers from both Madrid and Manchester City and is known to be interested in following former boss Manuel Pellegrini to the Etihad.

It appears that Heynckes wants Bayern to join the race for Isco, who is preparing for the European under 21 Championship final in Israel tonight.

“Who should Bayern sign? There are some very interesting players out there, like Malaga star Isco. He’s a class act in midfield,” said Heynckes during a recent interview.

Bayern Munich have already signed play-maker Mario Gotze from Borussia Dortmund this summer so it is unlikely that they would need another similar player.

Isco has also said that he will go to a club that can offer him regular first team football, which he is likely to get at Manchester City.

Heynckes retired for football management after leading Bayern Munich to a historic treble last season, winning the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal Cup and the Champions League.
