Sam Allardyce West Ham

West Ham to host newly-promoted Cardiff on opening day.West Ham will begin their second season back in the Premier League with a home game against newly-promoted Cardiff City, who came up from the Championship as champions after a play-off semi-final defeat to the Hammers the previous year.

It should be a relatively straightforward start to the campaign for Sam Allardyce, as his side don’t face any of the top sides until visiting Tottenham on the 5th of October, though that will then be followed up immediately by another big game at home to title-hopefuls Manchester City.

They will also have a tricky-looking December, with games against Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal in quick succession, though some more comfortable games against the likes of Fulham and Newcastle should follow in the new year.

West Ham will also be hoping to be relatively safe by the time they meet Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City in their difficult-looking run-in in April and May.
