Napoli ace drops hint over future.
Napoli striker Edinson Cavani has described Spanish giants as ‘a beautiful team’ as speculation continues to grow around where his future may lie, Sky Sports reports.
The 26-year-old is currently embroiled in a long running transfer saga with his parents both confirming that he will most likely end up at either Manchester City or Real Madrid after they ruled out a switch to Chelsea.
However, he may now have given the clearest indication over where his future will lie in an interview with Spanish news source El Partido de las 12 by admitting that he thinks Real are ‘beautiful’.
“I am very calm. Real Madrid are a beautiful team, every player dreams of playing there when he is a child,” he said.
“Those are things that they are talking from behind, as it will soon be seen. But officially nobody has talked with me.”
Cavani is currently in Brazil with the Uruguayan national side to partake in the Confederations Cup, and though he admitted his admiration of Real, he confirmed that the speculation will continue to grow until after the tournament.
“I am for now a Napoli player and I am focused on the Confederations Cup.
“What the clubs decide doesn’t depend only on me, but also on other factors which will be talked about once the tournament is over.”
