Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata has insisted that he is only focussing on his playing duties amidst speculation linking him with a summer move away from Chelsea, Sky Sports reports.

Reports have suggested that new Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho would be prepared to let the 25-year-old leave Stamford Bridge in order to free up space in his newly inherited squad and Spanish giants Barcelona have been credited with an interest should he make an exit from the west London club.

Rumour has it that the La Liga giants have already put an offer on the table for the man who won back-to-back Player of the Year awards with the club, but he has insisted that he is fully focussed on Spain’s Confederations Cup campaign as his own personal season reaches its 69th game.

“Obviously it’s tough, talking about it physically, but I don’t feel down, I still feel fresh and all I want is to play as many games as I can,” he said.

“I really enjoyed this season. It was a tough and long for us, but at the end we won a trophy so it was good.

“I really love to play with my national team, so all I can do is train and look forward to playing, because I love to play football.”
