West Ham have entered the race to sign Manchester United new-boy Wilfred Zaha on loan according to Goal.com.

The winger signed for Manchester United in January for £17.5 million but was immediately loaned back to Crystal Palace so that he could help in their push for promotion.

Zaha played a key role in the second half of Palace’s season, scoring twice in the play-off semi-final against Brighton as the club were promoted back to the Premier League.

The winger is now set to join up with his new club but rumours are suggesting that the England international could go out on loan again for next season, with Palace hoping they can bring Zaha back to Selhurst Park.

It seems that West Ham have also entered the race and have made Zaha one of their top targets for the summer.

New Manchester United boss David Moyes is set to meet Zaha at pre-season training and will decide whether he will stay at United this season or whether he will send the winger on loan to a club where he is guaranteed plenty of playing time.

West Ham recently signed Liverpool striker Andy Carroll for £15 million and boss Sam Allardyce is set to add even more attacking options to his squad this summer.
