Stamford Bridge side to use Gael Kakuta as part payment for Vitesse Arnhem youngster.
Chelsea will look to use youngster Gael Kakuta as a sweetener in their pursuit of Vitesse Arnhem wonderkid Marco Van Ginkel according to The Sun.
Jose Mourinho hopes to lure Dutch international Van Ginkel to Stamford Bridge but is more than aware of growing interest in the attacking midfielder and the option to offer Kakuta as a makeweight in a move for the 20 year old makes a great deal of sense.
Kakuta spent last season on loan at Vitesse and is sure to be a player boss Peter Bosz would like to bring in to strengthen his Eredivisie side.
Van Ginkel, who has represented Vitesse since the age of seven, had a standout season in the Eredivisie, scoring eight and providing another eight assists as his side secured their best domestic finish since 1998.
He also impressed during the recent European Under 21 Championships in Israel.
Gael Kakuta is certainly a player Chelsea can afford to sacrifice as the French wide-man’s last appearance for the West London side came in January 2011, with the French Under 21 international having spent time away on loan at Fulham, Bolton, Dijon and Vitesse in recent seasons.
