Reina says he will be at Anfield next season.
Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina has said that he will not be leaving the club this summer according to Goal.com.
The goalkeeper has been linked with a move to Spanish champions Barcelona, with reports suggesting they want to sign Reina to replace current number one Victor Valdes.
Speculation has increased since it was revealed that Liverpool are close to signing Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, who some see as a replacement for Reina.
However, Reina said that he wants to stay at Anfield and intends to see out the rest of his contract.
“It’s very clear,” he told AS. “I have a contract with Liverpool and there will be no changes for now.”
Reina is currently in Brazil featuring for Spain in the Confederations Cup and was speaking before his sides game against minnows Tahiti.
Liverpool look set to sign Mignolet from Sunderland this week as the club spend £42 million on Mignolet, Christian Atsu, Luis Alberto and Henrikh Mthitaryan.
Mignolet could be seen as competition for Reina next season, with the Spaniard have an unusually underwhelming season for Liverpool, making several uncharacteristic mistakes.
Mignolet, on the other hand, had a very strong season despite Sunderland performing poorly in general.
The Belgian made a series of fine saves that have brought him to the attention of Liverpool.
