How we feel the Emirates Stadium side should line-up at the start of next season.

With Gonzalo Higuain pretty much in the bag there are perhaps two or three other top talents Arsene Wenger has his sights set on this summer, here below is a line-up based on the investments we feel the Arsenal boss should look to make in the transfer window.

Though Arsenal are said to be in hot pursuit of QPR’s Julio Cesar Wenger is also keen on Stoke City’s Asmir Begovic and we think it wise to opt for the 26 year old Bosnian over a move for the 33 year old Brazilian.

We believe also that Wenger’s interest in Swansea City’s Ashley Williams is merely as back-up option as he will no doubt have been mightily impressed with the pairing of Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker, who was near flawless in the last couple of months of last term.

We’d also opt for young England man Carl Jenkinson over Bacary Sagna, who had a decidedly average campaign last season and could well leave the club as contract talks between the North London club and the Frenchman roll on. Nacho Monreal gets the left-back nod over Kieran Gibbs.

We’d also elect to bring in an out and out defensively minded midfielder to play alongside Jack Wilshere, and for that role we feel that Celtic’s Victor Wanyama is the ideal fit, this would however leave no space for Mikel Arteta, which may confuse some but we feel that Arsenal’s midfield in the long run would be best served by a younger pairing such as the one we have opted for.

We’d then look to put Everton’s Marouane Fellaini in a attacking midfield role behind Gonzalo Higuain with Lukas Podolski in a wide attacking role and Santi Cazorla also out wide but in a more floating position.

How would you like to see the Gunners line-up next term?
