The agent of Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic has denied that the playmaker will be leaving the club this summer, Sky Sports reports.

The 23-year-old has been linked with the likes of Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur this summer after a fine season in the Italian capital saw him bag four goals in 28 appearances and it is the Catalan giants who were though to be preparing to part with €11million to bring him to La Liga.

However, despite the speculation, the Bosnian international has refused to let his head be turned and according to his agent, Michele Gerbino, he is happy to stay in the Italian capital to continue developing his career.

“Miralem is concentrated solely on Roma,” Gerbino told calciomercato.it.

“He is very happy with the Giallorossi and has the utmost respect for the club, so I am convinced they will continue together with reciprocal satisfaction.

“As for the interest from Barcelona, I haven’t heard anything about that and have personally not received any calls.

“There are no imminent meetings with Roma either, as we must first give the new coach time to arrive and get to know the players.”

Pjanic has been with Roma since 2011 when he joined from French giants Lyon for a fee of €11 million.
