Newly-promoted side chase exciting young talent.Newly-promoted Cardiff City have reportedly agreed a fee with Blackpool for in-demand youngster Tom Ince, according to Sky Sports.

The 21-year-old has been in superb form for the Seagulls this season, scoring 18 goals from the wing and attracting interest from a host of top clubs such as Liverpool, Tottenham and Inter Milan.

Blackpool have been preparing for big-money offers for their prized asset all summer, and it now looks as though Cardiff have jumped to the front of the queue for the England Under-21 international.

The Welsh side, backed by their wealthy Malaysian owners, have been linked with several big names in the transfer window this summer, and now look to have made Ince a top target as they prepare for Premier League survival. They could also make moves for Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey, who started his career at Cardiff, and former Chelsea star Salomon Kalou, now of French side Lille.

Ince started his career as a youth player at Liverpool, and with Brendan Rodgers chasing a winger this summer, the Reds could still compete with Cardiff for the youngster’s signature.

Blackpool, managed by Ince’s father and former England captain Paul, are hoping to persuade Ince to stay at the club for at least one more season.
