Brazilian set to complete White Hart Lane switch.
White Hart Lane are set to welcome Corinthians midfielder Paulinho as the Brazilian international reveals that the offer made by the North London club was just too good to turn down according to the Metro.
The 24 year old box to box performer is set to complete a £17m move to Spurs after his side agreed a fee with the Premier League side, with Paulinho to complete the deal after the Confederations Cup.
‘I couldn’t turn them down when they made an offer,’ said Paulinho.
‘It would be a great pleasure to play for Tottenham. It’s fantastic to be linked with such a great club, they have a reputation as one of the best in England.
‘I feel I am ready to experience football at the highest level in Europe and the opportunity to play in England is a dream.’
Villas-Boas will hope that the addition of some high profile summer signings will allay fears that prized asset Gareth Bale will leave for pastures new.
Villas-Boas has been linked with a number of potential summer signings but as yet has not brought in any new additions this summer.
Paulinho is a box to box performer who has netted 34 goals in four seasons at Corinthians but is also renowned for his tackling ability and currently edges out recent Man City signing Fernandinho in the Brazilian national team set-up.
