Tottenham boss Andre Vilas-Boas believes Premier League teams will fancy their chances more this year against Manchester United according to Goal.com.

The Old Trafford club finally set goodbye to Sir Alex Ferguson at the end of last season following a career that saw the club win every trophy in their path.

United have appointed former Everton boss David Moyes in his stead, with many suggesting the two Scottish compatriots share a similar management style.

But Spurs boss AVB, who saw his team go unbeaten against United last season, believes the retirement of Ferguson is likely to have an impact on United team.

Whereas under Ferguson, United teams carried an aura of invincibility and self-belief, AVB does not believe that Moyes brings the same thing with him.

AVB did not rule out that it might return should Moyes adapt fast and early results go their way but there is perhaps now a better chance than ever for England’s top clubs to break United’s stranglehold on domestic silverware.

Moyes has a tricky tie away to Swansea as his first Premier League game of the season and will be keen to come away from the trip to the Liberty Stadium unscathed while Tottenham enjoy a somewhat easier tie away to Crystal Palace.
