Gareth Bale is desperate to leave Tottenham in order to sign for Real Madrid according to The Metro.

The Welsh winger has had his head turned by the advances emerging from the Spanish capital and is ready to take action in an attempt to secure his dream move.

Real Madrid appeared ready to give up on their chase to sign Bale with Tottenham appearing resolute in their determination to hold on to the Welsh star.

Madrid special advisor has since publically claimed a move looked unlikely unless Bale himself intervened and it appears that the PFA Player of the Year and PFA Young Player of the Year has heeded the former French international’s words.

Bale is ready to meet with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and appeal to him to at least discuss the possibility of a sale with Real officials.

The Spanish club are prepared to break the world record transfer fee in order to bring Bale to the Bernabeu should Levy enter negotiations with them.

But Bale will not force Levy’s hand should the Spurs chairman turn down his request. Levy has previously stated that he will not be pressured into selling Bale this summer, which could lead to an agreement where Bale stays for one more season in a manner similar to the eventual departure of Luka Modric.
