The defender has had a tough time at Manchester City last season.
Inter Milan could be ready to sign Manchester City defender Micah Richards this summer following a difficult season at the Etihad, the Sun reports.
Richards only made 7 appearances for the Sky Blues last season due to injury and the defender knows that it will be tough to break back into City’s first team next season.
At right-back, Richards is competing with Pablo Zabaleta and Macion, with Zabaleta being established as City’s first choice right back.
Richards can also play in central defence but getting first team opportunities in that position maybe even harder as Vincent Kompany and Matija Nastastic are cemented as City’s first choice central defensive pairing.
Inter Milan could now come in for Richards and offer him the first team football that he is clearly craving.
However, City want to try and keep Richards at the Etihad and are prepared to offer the defender a new contract even though he still has two years left on his current deal.
Richards knows how hard it will be to break into City’s first team next season so is reluctant to sign a new deal.
The defender was once one of English football’s brightest young talents but he has struggled with injury over recent years, meaning he has been in and out of City’s first team and the national team.
