The midfielder looks set to leave QPR this summer following their relegation from the Premier League.
QPR’s Abel Taarabt looks set to leave the club this summer as many potential suitors are coming forward for his services, with Lazio being the most recent, Sports Direct News reports.
Several French clubs have come forward as a possible destination for Taarabt, including big spending Paris St Germain and AS Monaco.
Reports in Italy now suggest that Lazio have joined the race to sign Taarabt, seeing the midfielder as a perfect replacement for Hernanes, who has been linked with a move to Manchester City.
Harry Redknapp is not under any pressure to sell the midfielder but Taarabt has been in trouble with club officials many times during his career at QPR.
Towards the end of last season, Taarabt was fined for turning up late to training and despite his obvious skill, the midfielder has been in and out of the Hoops first team.
Redknapp is planning for life in the Championship following QPR’s relegation from the Premier League and wants to make sure that the Hoops achieve promotion at the first time of asking.
Whether Taarabt will be part of those plans is unlikely at this stage with so many clubs interested in his services.
