Manchester City are drawing up a shortlist of potential replacements for Carlos Tevez according to The Independent.

Tevez left the club on Wednesday evening to join Juventus in an £8 million deal. That has left City with a hole to fill in their squad as the industrious forward was often present in the starting eleven.

The club are currently reeling from Isco’s snub after the Malaga youngster decided to join Real Madrid instead of linking up once more with his former mentor Manuel Pellegrini.

They are ready to move fast now to secure their targets and have drawn up a list of four potential signings.

Top of their list is Bayern Munich’s Mario Gomez, who is available for around £20 million after falling out of favour at the Allianz Arena.

The club are also thought to be taking a look at Sevilla’s Alvaro Negredo, who has also been interesting the likes of Everton, Arsenal and Tottenham in recent months.

Roma’s Pablo Osvaldo is another option as Manuel Pellegrini knows the player well from his time in La Liga with Espanyol.

Benfica’s Oscar Cardozo is also a possibility but it is thought that City will turn to him as a last resort as the forward is not getting any younger at 30 years old.
