Manchester City Plot Move For Robert Lewandowski Following Carlos Tevez Transfer To Juventus

Borussia Dortmund have said that they have no intention of selling Lewandowski.

Manchester City look set to re-ignite their interest in Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski following Carlos Tevez departure to Juventus, the Daily Mirror reports.

City have been interested in Lewandowski for the past month but have been told that the striker prefers a move to Bayern Munich and the European Champions are the only team he will consider playing for.

However, Dortmund have said that they will not sell Lewandowski to their German rivals, meaning the striker can either wait and join Bayern on a free transfer next summer or join another club this summer.

City appear to be ready to offer Lewandowski a way out of Dortmund this summer but it is unknown whether the striker would want to consider a move to Etihad.

The Sky Blues are on the look out for a new striker after Carlos Tevez agreed to move to Italian Champions Juventus.

City were interested in signing Napoli striker Edinson Cavani but the club have been priced out of a move for the Uruguayan while a bid for Luis Suarez is likely to be unsuccessful.

Dortmund maybe willing to listen to offers for Lewandowski as they stand to make around £25 million if they sold the striker this summer.
