Man City are reportedly preparing a move for Swansea City striker Michu according to the Daily Star.

The 27 year old cost the Liberty Stadium side just £1.6m and proved the bargain of the season, netting 18 Premier League goals in his debut season.

Manuel Pellegrini is said to be keen on luring the Spaniard to the Etihad Stadium and the Chilean may see Michu as an ideal replacement for Juventus bound Carlos Tevez and clearly Man City have the financial ability to make an offer that the South Wales side could struggle to turn down.

Man City did of course successfully bring in Scott Sinclair from Swansea City last summer and will be looking to repeat the trick during this transfer window.

Pellegrini may well see Edin Dzeko leave this summer with a great deal of speculation linking the Bosnian with a move away from Man City though Sergio Aguero has committed himself to the club by signing a new long term contract this month.
