White Hart Lane side set for busy summer.

Check in to Transfer Window: Done Deal Alerts

Tottenham are to press on with deals to sign Corinthians midfielder Paulinho and Barcelona striker David Villa whilst Andre Villas-Boas looks to clear some room in his White Hart Lane squad for their arrivals according to The Sun.

24 year old Brazilian Paulinho is expected to complete his £17m move to the North London club next week whilst Spanish striker David Villa is closing in on an £8m move to Tottenham to provide some much needed strength to the Tottenham attack.

Villas-Boas is ready to offload four first team regulars this summer and hopes to start that process of selling the unwanted players by seeing Tom Huddlestone complete a £5m move to Sunderland.

Emmanuel Adebayor, Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Scott Parker could all follow Hudd out of the door during this transfer window.

QPR are said to be keen on veteran battler Parker whilst Turkish side Fenerbahce want Benoit Assou Ekotto, who is seen as surplus to requirements as Villas-Boas wants to welcome back Danny Rose from his loan spell at Sunderland.

Moves to freshen up and improve the Tottenham squad are no doubt not only a move to better prepare the club for a push for a top four spot in 2013/14 but also a way of convincing prized asset Gareth Bale to stay at White Hart Lane this summer.
