Arsenal are set to register a £17m bid for Fenerbahce striker Moussa Sow according to Italian source TuttoMercato.

Arsene Wenger had previously been linked with interest in the 27 year old forward when he was in his displaying excellent form at Lille, form that eventually led to his move to Turkey.

The Arsenal boss has been linked with interest in a number of potential attacking additions but may feel that a move to capture Sow would be a realistic move he could pull off this summer.

Sow has proven a success since his move to Istanbul giants Fenerbahce, scoring 22 goals in 43 Super Lig goals since his move to the ?ükrü Saraco?lu Stadium side last January.

Wenger may feel the need to beef up his attack after moderate first season displays from Gunners attacker Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski.

Indeed a move for Sow could call into question the future of the player’s former Lille team-mate Gervinho, who could perhaps be sacrificed to make room for the French born forward.

Prior to his move to Turkey Sow enjoyed some success at Rennes before a successful stint at the Stade Gerland, culminating in the striker finishing top scorer in Ligue 1 as he helped Lille to their first domestic title in over 50 years in 2010/11.
