Barcelona are thought to be interested in the Brazilian central defender.
Thiago Silva’s agent has told Barcelona that they should make an approach for the central defender if they really are interested in him, Goal.com reports.
Silva recently alleged that Barcelona manager Tito Vilanova approached him during a Champions League game between Paris St Germain and Barcelona last season.
Barcelona are desperate to strengthen their defence this summer following a series of disappointing defensive displays last season, especially the Champions League tie against Bayern Munich, which the Spanish club lost 7-0 on aggregate.
Silva is thought to be their number one target to strengthen that defence this summer and the Brazilians agent has said that the Spanish Champions should take action now if they want to sign Silva.
“There’s a lot of talk that Tito likes him, but if that’s the case, someone should open talks,” Tonietto told RAC1.
“If you want to sign someone, you will not succeed in doing so by sitting at home watching television.”
Silva was close to joining Barcelona last summer but instead decided to move to PSG.
However, he has become unsettled at the French Champions since manager Carlo Ancelotti left to join Real Madrid.
Ancelotti was the main reason that Silva chose PSG over Barcelona so the Brazilian could end up at the Nou Camp this summer after only one season with PSG.
