Check in to Transfer Window: Done Deal Alerts

Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign long term target Henrikh Mkhitaryan according to Russian source Sport Express.

The 24 year old Shakhtar Donestk star will reportedly complete his move to Anfield within the next 72 hours after the two clubs agreed a €30m (£25.6m) fee for the Armenian international.

Mkhitaryan had an outstanding season in 2012/13, scoring 25 goals in 28 domestic league fixtures, finishing as the Ukrainian Premier League’s top scorer and the attacking midfielder is seemingly seen by Liverpool as their top summer target.

Brendan Rodgers has already had a very successful summer transfer window having brought in Kolo Toure, Luis Alberto, Iago Aspas and Simon Mignolet for a total outlay of around £23m. Liverpool have offset a large portion of those costs by finally permanently offloading Andy Carroll to West Ham in a deal said to be in the region of £17m.

Borussia Dortmund & Tottenham are also said to have an interest in the Shakhtar Donestk star, who has spent three seasons at the Donbass Arena.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers may well be keen to bring in other goal-scoring alternatives with Uruguayan ace Luis Suarez still seemingly pushing to leave the Merseyside club this summer.
