Italian giants AC Milan have poured cold water on speculation linking their young striker Stephan El Shaarawy with a move away from the club this summer according to talkSport.

The Italian forward has been linked with a move to Chelsea over the last few days as the Stamford Bridge side prepare to draw up a list of potential targets in case they are priced out of a move for Napoli’s Edinson Cavani.

El Shaarawy was in blistering goal-scoring form in the first half of last season and ended up with a final total of 16 goals in Serie A for the Rossoneri.

But he failed to reach the same heights during the second half of the season, prompting some to suggest that all was not well between El Shaarawy and AC’s temperamental January signing, Mario Balotelli.

Those reports have been denied but that has not stopped El Shaarway from being linked with a move away from the club.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly made bringing in some attacking reinforcements one of his top summer priorities.

The Portuguese boss is thought to be unimpressed with the club’s current options up front and is looking to add to the current roster which includes Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Romelu Lukaku.
