Everton boss Roberto Martinez is keen to raid one of his former clubs as he plots a £5m bid for speedy Swansea City winger Nathan Dyer according to The Sun.

Martinez spent £400k to bring Dyer from Southampton to South Wales back in 2009 and the pint sized wide-man has gone to become a club cult favourite, notching up 195 appearances for the club, scoring 19 goals in the process.

Dyer put in a Man of the Match display, scoring twice as Swansea City beat Bradford City to win the Capital One Cup but could perhaps now be tempted by the possibility of a move to Everton.

The Goodison Park side are ready to offer Dyer a three year deal worth £40k a week, a deal that the Liberty Stadium attacker may find hard to turn down.

Dyer has just a year to run on his current Swansea City contract and as such a £5m offer may be accepted by Laudrup, with the Dane having already brought in a host of talents including Liverpool attacker Jonjo Shelvey.
