FC Twente midfielder Leroy Fer is a hot commodity this summer, with Premier League clubs Norwich, Everton and Newcastle all reportedly keen on signing the Dutchman according to Inside Futbol.

The 23-year old midfielder was a member of Holland’s impressive U21 European championship side this summer, however the midfielder was used sparingly during the tournament, but still managed to bag himself goals off the bench, and looked impressive when played.

Everton were highly tipped to sign the midfielder in January last season, after agreeing a fee with Twente, unfortunately, the player failed a medical, leaving without a deal in place, but the Toffee’s are back in the race after speculation over his knee problems died out.

Norwich are leading the chase for Fer this summer, who is rumoured to be available for £8million. After successfully bringing in Ricky van Wolfswinkel from Sporting already, and are closing in on the signing of Birmingham starlet Nathan Redmond, Norwich manager Chris Houghton is trying to wrap up his summer dealings early, giving him plenty of time to organise his team for the upcoming season.

Norwich and Everton have both opened talks with Twente for Fer, with Newcastle also reportedly interested.
